Designed for children aged 4 to 17 who want to study at an independent (fee-paying) school in the UK.
Independent Schools Only
The child must be enrolled at a UK independent school that holds a valid Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).
Duration of Course
The visa is typically granted for the duration of the course plus additional time before and after.
Parental Consent Required
Written consent from both parents or legal guardians is required as part of the visa application process.
Boarding School Option
Children studying at boarding schools can live on-campus under the school's supervision.
Immigration Health Surcharge
The child's sponsor must pay the Immigration Health Surcharge to allow access to NHS services during the stay.

Eligibility Requirements
Valid CAS from School
The child must have a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a licensed UK independent school before applying.
Age 4–17 at Application
The applicant must be aged between 4 and 17 at the time of applying. Children 18 or over must apply for the standard Student Visa.
Financial Proof & Consent
Proof of sufficient funds to cover tuition and living costs, plus written consent from both parents or legal guardians.
