The Student Guardian visa (subclass 590) allows a parent or relative to live in Australia to provide support and welfare to a student aged under 18 who holds or has applied for a student visa.
As a guardian, you can stay in Australia for the duration of your child's course plus one month. You may be able to bring other dependent children with you, giving your entire family the opportunity to experience life in Australia while your child receives a world-class education.

Who Qualifies?
You are a parent, or relative nominated by the parents, of a student
The student is under 18 years of age and holds a Student visa
You are at least 21 years of age
You are of good character with no criminal convictions
You meet the health requirement
You have adequate funds to support yourself and any dependants
You hold or have applied for appropriate health insurance (OVHC)
